THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 2357 COVID-19 cases on Monday, Health Minister KK Shailaja said. Among these, 2061 persons developed the disease through contact including 183 cases without an identified source of infection. 104 persons who came from outside the state tested positive for the virus. 9 health workers contracted the disease on Monday.

1866 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 28,372 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 12 deaths due to the virus on Monday with the toll rising to 4680.

In the last 24 hours, 40,191 samples have been tested. The test positivity rate stands at 5.86.

With the addition of 2 new regions and the removal of 1, there are 360 hotspots in the state.
