KANNUR: Congress leader K Sudhakaran MP has alleged that there was widespread vote-rigging in Taliparamba and Dharmadam constituencies. While claiming that the election in Taliparamba was sabotaged by the candidate, Sudhakaran added he will approach the court if re-polling was not allowed.

"The CPM seized all the booths in Malappattam panchayat. In many places, UDF booth agents were not allowed to stay in the booths and were beaten.
Check post was set up and non-CPM members chased away. Chilli powder was sprinkled on the body of a booth agent at Veshala. Booth encroachment also took place here," Sudhakaran said.

"MV Govindan made a statement urging people to vote fraudulently. A case should be registered against this. I am sure that the UDF will come to power in Kerala. Pinarayi Vijayan will definitely go to jail," he added.
