THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After the assembly polls, the leaders observe that the BJP will get three to six seats from the existing single seat. The BJP hope for a win in the lone sitting seat Nemom, Manjeswaram where K Surendran contested and E Sreedharan in Palakkad. They also hope to win Malampuzha in Palakkad, Suresh Gopi in Thrissur, Jacob Thomas in Irinjalakuda, Adoor in Pathanamthitta, Konni, Aranmula, Chenganoor in Alappuzha, Cherthala, Chathanur in Kollam, Kazhakoottam, Thiruvananthapuram and Vattiyoorkavu constituencies.

The BJP and the NDA, who brought national leaders and union ministers for campaigning, are keeping high expectations. BJP state chief K Surendran said a high turnout will benefit the NDA. The hurting sentiments on Sabarimala will turn against the government and regretting after showing all kinds of cruelties to the devotees, will do no good. They also claim that the change in politics, which is polarized on both fronts, is an indication that the BJP is becoming a political force.
