THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A youth congress local leader was found to have committed suicide. He has been identified as Al Sameer of Nadayara in Varkala. He was found hanging in a tree near Nadayara waste treatment plant. The locals informed the police after seeing the body.

The locals have raised suspicion about his death. Meantime, his friends said that he had some financial liabilities. The body has been sent for post-mortem after completing the inquest proceedings. Police said a detailed investigation will be conducted.
