THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Exams for Class X and Class XII started in the state today amidst Covid threats. Plus two exams started in the morning at 9.40 and SSLC in the afternoon. The students were permitted to enter the exam hall under strict restrictions by making sure they are wearing masks and after sanitizing their hands. The SSLC exams will start at 1.40 pm. On Friday the exam will start at 2.40 pm. From April 15, the SLLC exam will start at 9.40 am as part of Ramzan fasting.

8,68,697 students are appearing for the SSLC and Plus Two exams this time. The SSLC exams will end on April 29. This year too, the exams were held under strict instructions in the wake of Covid. The main instructions are that the children should wear masks, maintain social distancing, bring drinking water and those having symptoms should sit in a separate room.

A total of 4,22,226 students including 2,15,660 boys and 2,06,566 girls, are appearing for the Class X exam. 2947 examination centres have been set up. VHSE exams will start tomorrow. The exams scheduled to start on March 17 was postponed to April 8 following the announcement of elections.
