ALAPPUZHA: Tusker Vijayakrishnan of the famous Ambalapuzha Sreekrishna Swamy Temple died. He was undergoing treatment for quite some time. Vijayakrishnan of Travancore Devaswom Board died at 12.45 pm today.

Vijayakrishnan was brought to the temple after the death of Ambalapuzha Ramachandran. He was above 50. Vijayakrishnan was characterized for his slanting tusks, long trunks and a proud standing posture. Vijayakrishnan was one of the elephants of the devaswom board who participated in Thrissur Pooram in 2010. Vijayakrishnan was usually calm in nature.
