KANNUR: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has tested positive for COVID-19. He will be soon shifted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. The Chief Minister is currently at his home in Kannur. According to sources, he did not display any symptoms. His daughter had tested positive for the virus on Tuesday. The Chief Minister had received his first dose of Covid vaccine a month ago.

The health department has directed all those who recently came in contact with the chief minister to go under surveillance. The Chief Minister had attended several meetings during the election period.


Meanwhile, Kerala reported 4353 new positive cases on Thursday. The test positivity rate stands at 6.81.
