THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Unused election campaign posters of Veena S Nair, the UDF candidate in Vattiyoorkavu, were found for sale at a scrap shop. The posters, which weigh around 50 kg, were found for sale at the scrap shop at YMR junction in Nathencode.

The shopkeeper said that the posters were brought to the shop by a person named Babu and that the posters were bought from him at the rate of Rs 10 per kilogram.

VK Prashant responded to the incident by saying that his allegation that the UDF had worked to help the BJP here was confirmed by the posters found in the shop. Veena S Nair has not yet commented on the matter.
