KANNUR: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who had tested positive for COVID-19, has been shifted to Kozhikode Medical College. The Chief Minister was brought to the Medical College from his home in Kannur. If necessary, experts from Thiruvananthapuram will be sent to Kozhikode.
The Chief Minister has not displayed any symptoms yet. Things were assessed under the leadership of the Health Secretary. Personal staff members were advised to go into quarantine.
Chief Minister's daughter Veena Vijayan and son-in-law Mohammad Riyaz are undergoing treatment at the Medical College. On March 3, Chief Minister had received the first dose of the Covid vaccine.
