THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister KT Jaleel on Friday rejected Lokayukta's verdict on the nepotism case. Rejecting the verdict, Jaleel said that the Lokayukta issued such a verdict in a case that was dismissed by the High Court as well as former Kerala governor P Sathaasivam. He said he would take further action in this regard after consulting legal experts after receiving the full verdict.

Earlier on Friday, the Lokayukta stated that minister KT Jaleel had violated his oath of office in the controversial appointment of his cousin KT Adeeb to the Kerala State Minorites Development Finance Corporation Limited. According to Lokayukta, Jaleel committed an abuse of power and is not eligible to continue as minister. The report will be soon submitted to the chief minister.
