THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State Congress party has expelled its leader who sold the posters of its candidate in Vattiyoorkavu—Veena S Nair in scrap shop. The party’s disciplinary action was taken against Mandalam Treasurer of Kuravankonam, V Balu. Action has been taken on the report given by the special probe panel appointed by DCC.

KPCC has also called for a detailed investigation into the matter. Veena S Nair’s poster was found in a scrap shop in Nanthancode on Thursday. The mandalam committee has said that the posters which were given to Balu to decorate the booth, were sold by Balu to the scrap dealers.
