KANNUR: Youth Congress leader Shafi Parambil MLA on Saturday said that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was the god in the place of worship of murderers. Lawyers are appointed to protect the killers in each case using the money from the treasury. Shafi also alleged that Pinarayi Vijayan had given assurances to the killer gang that they would be protected if they commit murder. He was speaking at a UDF protest rally in Panoor where a Muslim League activist was killed.

"The Chief Minister of Kerala, who had addressed the assembly that the government will spend money to protect the murderers, is the god in the place of worship of these murderers. Earlier, the CM had said that the government would spend more money on criminals if necessary. This is a statement that incites murder. The killers are motivated by the fact that the party is there to protect them," Shafi said.
