ALAPPUZHA: A robbery case accused who fled from police custody in Aranmula has been nabbed. The accused identified as Ratheesh, a native of Pannivelichira, was nabbed from near his house. He fled when he was taken to the hospital for a medical examination last night.

Ratheesh is a person of criminal background. He was arrested for stealing a battery from a battery shop. He escaped from police custody when he was taken to the district hospital for medical examination ahead of remanding him. He fled with handcuffs attached to his hands.

In a search conducted for hours, he was arrested from near his house.
