KOZHIKODE: KM Shaji MLA said that there is a document for half a crore rupees seized from the house in Kannur during the vigilance raid. Shaji says the money was brought for a relative's land deal. Shaji has asked the Vigilance for one day to produce the documents. Vigilance raided Shaji's houses in Kozhikode and Kannur in connection with the disproportionate asset case.

The vigilance special cell started inspecting Shaji's house around 7 in the morning. Shaji and his family were at home when the vigilance team reached their house in Malurkunnu, Kozhikode. The vigilance case was taken up yesterday on a complaint filed by CPM leader MR Harish, a native of Kozhikode, alleging that KM Shaji had acquired assets illegally between 2012 and 2021.
