THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In the wake of the second wave of covid 19, the recommendations made by the core committee led by the chief secretary to contain the pandemic situation has been submitted before the chief minister. The order on Covid regulations will be issued soon after receiving the chief minister’s nod.
All public functions in the state will be regulated. Such functions could be conducted only for two hours. All shops including hotels should be closed down before 9 am. In hotels only 50 per cent people should be allowed. Travel via trains and buses should be avoided, strong action will be taken if crowded buses are witnessed. The motor vehicle department will scrutinise transport vehicles to avoid crowding and fierce action will be taken against the violators.
Meetings that should not be convened immediately could be postponed. Teli-doctor facility will be put in place. Online facility will be put in place to distribute basic items with the support of supplyco and horticorp. Appropriate number of ICU beds, increasing the number of RT PCR tests, reducing the crowd in tourist places are other recommendations issued by the panel.
