THRISSUR: Strict restrictions have been imposed on the people attending this year's Thrissur Pooram at places including Thekkinkad Maidan and Swaraj Round. People over the age of 45 should be vaccinated with the Covid vaccine. People between the ages of 10 and 45 should undergo an RTPCR test to prove that they do not have Covid. Those who have been vaccinated and tested should upload the documents to a special website set up by the police and register to get a pass for the Pooram.

The same criteria should be followed when the Devaswoms issue passes. Those under 10 and pregnant women will not be allowed to attend the Pooram. The decision was made at an online meeting chaired by Chief Secretary VP Joey.
