THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Law Academy director and founder Koliyakode Narayanan Nair (Dr N Narayanan Nair) has passed away. He was 92 years old. He died at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. He was one of the pioneers of crucial changes in the study of law in Kerala.

Narayanan Nair is the first person to receive a PhD in Law from the University of Kerala. He has long been a member of the Bar Council. His wife is Ponnamma, a former IAS officer. He is survived by his son Raj Narayanan, daughter Lakshmi Nair (former principal of Law Academy) and son Nagaraj Narayanan (senior advocate of the Kerala High Court).
