THRISSUR: Permission has been granted for sample firework and the main firework of Thrissur Pooram. It was approved by the Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization. Sample firework will be on the eve of Thrissur Pooram.

This time Thrissur Pooram will be held with strict Covid restrictions. People will be allowed to enter the Pooram venue only after the inspections. People under the age of 45 will be admitted only if they produce the result of the RTPCR test with Covid negative result taken within 72 hours and those above the age of 45 presenting a certificate of receiving two doses of the vaccine. Children under the age of ten are not allowed to enter.
