MALAPPURAM: K M Shaji MLA reiterated that there are accurate records for the money kept in the house. He said the required documents have been submitted to the vigilance and more documents will be handed over within a week.

The money collected for election expenses was seized by the vigilance. The money was not obtained from the closet but from under the bed in the camp house. It is not my fault mistaking bed as a closet, he said.

The foreign currency seized belongs to my children’s collection, the reports that are coming are untrue. He said this while talking to the media after vigilance’ interrogation.

The questioning started at 10 am. The investigating team questioned him at the vigilance office in Thondayadu. An amount of Rs 47,35,500 was seized in the raid conducted at his house in Azhikode two days back.
