THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala on Friday accused the state government of stopping the distribution of the Vishu kits completely. The CPM and the government have once again proved their betrayal of the people by stopping the distribution of kits after the polls, Chennithala said. He further added that the opposition was once again correct in saying that the government's only aim was to get votes from the people.
"The government had shown great enthusiasm in distributing the Vishu kits ahead of the polls. Once the election came to an end, it started acting as if it no longer needs the people. The government has once again betrayed the people by stopping the distribution of the Vishu kits. Though the government is required to provide food kits to 85 lakh cardholders, only 26 lakh cardholders have received the kits so far," Chennithala said.
