MUMBAI: Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik has criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for campaigning in West Bengal. Speaking to the media, Malik said that Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray had tried to speak to the Prime Minister regarding the shortage of oxygen and Remdesivir medicine in the state. However, the CM was told that PM Modi was busy campaigning in Bengal.

"Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray was trying to speak to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over phone, but was told that he (PM) is on a tour of West Bengal...This shows that the BJP is more interested in winning elections than tackling this crisis." Malik said.
