NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday briefed the Chief Ministers of the country on the remedial measures to be taken in the event of an escalation of Covid cases in the country. He also said that the areas where the outbreak is most prevalent should be made micro-containment zones. He was speaking during a meeting with chief ministers to assess the Covid situation and the Covid vaccination. The Prime Minister said that the country had reduced the spread of COVID in the last year and that it would be possible again. “Reviewed preparedness to handle the ongoing COVID-19 situation. Aspects relating to medicines, oxygen, ventilators and vaccination were discussed. Like we did last year, we will successfully fight COVID with even greater speed and coordination,” the PM wrote on Twitter.
