ANCHAL: A man was hacked to death by his friend after the two got involved in an argument while drinking alcohol. The deceased has been identified as Channappetta native Kuttappan (49). Police have arrested his friend Channappetta native Laibu.

The incident occurred on Saturday night. According to sources, both Kuttappan and Laibu had been drinking alcohol at Laibu's house when an argument broke out between the two. Following this, Laibu attacked Kuttappan using a knife and hacked him to death. Kutappan's son Vishnu, who witnessed the incident, informed the locals and the police. Police reached the area and arrested Laibu. Police said further investigation into the incident is underway.
