ALAPPUZHA: Two more accused have been arrested in the case of Abhimanyu, a 10th class student, who was stabbed to death during the Vishu festival at Vallikunnam Padayanivattam Devi temple. Aakash (Poppy-20) of Aishwarya in Elappikulam in Vallikunnam and Pranav (Appu-23) of Prasadam House in Vallikunnam were arrested by police team led by Vallikunnam CI B Mithun. With this, the number of those arrested has increased to four.

The main accused Vallikunnam Puthenpurakkal Sajayjith (21) and Jishnu Thampi (24) of Jyothish Bhavanam in Vallikunnam had surrendered yesterday. Akash and Pranav, who were absconding, were arrested on Saturday night. The accused were brought to the place where Abhimanyu was shot yesterday and evidence was collected. Both were produced in Kayamkulam court and remanded. Akash is accused in a theft case and Pranav in the case of assaulting women. Police have intensified their search for the other accused. Abhimanyu, a 10th class student of Amrita HSS in Vallikunnam and son of Ambili Kumar, was stabbed to death at 9.30 pm on the 14th.
