THIRUVANANTHAUPRAM: The police said strict measures are needed to reduce crowd in public places in the wake of transmission of Covid. The police have submitted the instructions for it to the chief secretary.

The main proposal is to impose night curfew to reduce the spread of the disease. It has been directed to implement work from home again to reduce overcrowding in public places. Work from home should be brought again in government offices. Private firms should also follow this.

A meeting chaired by the chief secretary is progressing to discuss the steps to be taken in the context of the rapid spread of the disease. Heads of various departments are attending the meet. Meantime, the government has said it will not postpone SSLC and Plus Two exams.
