MALAPPURAM: The incident where a woman's body was found buried in a deserted field in Malappuram Vettichira has turned out to be a murder. They have arrested a man named Anwar in connection with the case. Police said that it was Anwar who buried the body after the murder.

The body was found buried in the deserted place on Tuesday evening. Later, police revealed that the body was believed to be that of a 21-year-old woman who went missing 40 days ago from the area.

Subeera Farhat, daughter of Kizhakkaparambat Kabir, has been missing since March 10. The body was found buried about 300 meters from Subeera's house. Subeera, who worked at a dental clinic in Vettichira, was seen on her way to work from home on the morning of her disappearance. An investigation was started after the doctor at the clinic informed the family about her absence from work.
