THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPI has evaluated that the party will win only in fewer seats in the elections. Even though the party has won 19 seats in the 2016 assembly elections, this time, it hopes to win only 13 seats. It is expected that the party will win 13 -16 seats this time.

CPI also evaluate that CPM will not be able to win those seats which it won last time but it hopes that the left front can secure 76-83 seats and thus it can get another term.

The party expects sure victory in the following seats: Kodungallor, Oloor, Nattika, Kaipamangalam, Chattanur, Punaloor, Chadayamangalam, Chirankeezhu, Cherthala, Adoor, Vaikom, Nadapuram and Kanjangad.

This time CPI has contested in 25 seats. The party expects neck-to-neck fight in Nedumangad, Karunagapally, Peerumedu, Muvattupuzha and Pattambi. Whereas CPM expects that if a left wave unleashes in the state then the party can win over 100 seats.
