THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president K Surendran has claimed that the party will win more than 10 seats in the Kerala assembly elections. According to him, the BJP will emerge as a crucial power in the state after the announcement of the results. He also said that both the UDF and the LDF will not get the absolute majority needed to govern alone.

"I still stand by my word that the BJP will rule the state if it gets 35 seats. I am confident that I will in both Konni and Manjeshwar. Candidates from Thalassery and Guruvayur had their nominations rejected due to technical errors," Surendran said. He added that the BJP will definitely win in Nemom, the party's only sitting seat in Kerala.
