KANNUR: NCP state general secretary KK Rajan (75) passed away. He died due to post-COVID complications at a private hospital in Kozhikode yesterday morning.

Rajan entered the public sphere as a beedi worker and went on to become a leader of the Youth Congress in the district. He had served as NCP's Kannur district vice president, general secretary and a member of the national council. He was also a strong organizer in the beedi labor sector.

Rajan is survived by wife KK Nirmala, daughter Dr Heera, sons Neeraj and Heeraj.
