KOCHI: Actor Mela Reghu alias Puthenveli Sashidharan is in a serious condition. The actor, who collapsed in home last week, is in the ventilator of a private hospital in Kochi. He was first admitted to a hospital in Cherthala but later shifted to Kochi.

His wife and daughter are in the hospital now. Due to hefty hospital expenses, the family is facing great financial difficulty.

Reghu started his film career through K G George’s Mela, a film based on circus. He had portrayed a very good role along with Mammoottty. Reghu, who had acted in more thirty films in Malayalam and Tamil, was last seen in Mohanlal’s Drishyam 2.
