THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Most of the people rely on Facebook pages of district collectors to know the situation related to the pandemic of each districts. The restrictions and relaxations imposed, number of cases and contact lists are officially published on the collectors' pages from the beginning of the outbreak of Covid-19. However, there are no updates in Thiruvananthapuram district collector’s page and there has been a lot of criticism on social media against it.
Although the protests are coming in the form of comments on the collector's page, the collector's page is far behind compared to other districts in updating information. The Thiruvananthapuram Collector is criticized after pointing pages including that neighbouring district Kollam collector’s page.
Nothing related to the patient can be seen on the page, including the patient's location data. When Gopalakrishnan was the Collector, the page shared accurate information and it was accepted by all. However, the main complaint is that the information is being shared on the page very late after Navjot Khosa became the collector.
