BATHERY: Two children who were under treatment for burns sustained in cracker explosion, succumbed to injuries on Monday. They have been identified as Murali (16), son of Murugan of Kottakunnu in Bathery and Muhammed Ajmal (14), son of Latheef of Mankurussi in Palakkad.

Ajmal reached his relative’s house in Bathery. The condition of the third identified as Febin Firoz (14) continues to be serious.

Ayyangaleswari is Murali’s mother. His siblings are Muthuraj and Rajalekshmi. Sajna is Ajmal’s mother. Asna and Sahir are his siblings.

The crackers kept in the shed near Kottakkunnu in Batheri exploded on Thursday. The children reached there to play. The children who sustained burns jumped to a pond nearby.
