THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After the Chief Minister informed that a more dangerous variant of Covid has been found in Kerala, BJP state president K Sivakumar has sharply criticized the government. He asked the government to clarify what action it had taken after learning about the new variant earlier this month. Surendran wrote on Facebook that the government was not willing to spend the money allocated by the Center for the oxygen plant and that the Covid test is being charged more in the state.

"Was the health department asleep earlier this month despite knowing all this? Didn't those who make anti-India speeches citing the North see this?", Surendran wrote on Facebook.
