THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government has tightened the restrictions in the state in view of the COVID surge. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan informed that directions have been given to suspend the shooting of films and television serials till further notice. The CM said traders selling vegetables and fish should wear two masks and gloves. Oxygen war rooms will be set up in the state. Those vehicles carrying medical equipment and medicines should have stickers affixed on them.
The situation in the state is becoming more critical as the treatment of people with serious illnesses is being interrupted. Strict restrictions will be imposed from May 4 to 9. Details will be announced later. Vendors in the vegetable and fish markets should keep a distance of two meters. They should wear two masks and gloves. Oxygen parlors will be set up in the state.
