KOZHIKODE: The exit poll surveys conducted by leading Malayalam channels have predicted that UDF candidate and actor Dharmajan Bolgatty will lose in Balussery. Two major Malayalam channels have predicted this. According to the channels, Sachin Dev, the LDF candidate in the constituency and the state secretary of the SFI, will win. Libin Balussery is the NDA candidate here.

Earlier, it was reported that there several Congress and UDF workers had opposed the move to field Dharmajan as the UDF candidate in Balussery. The Dalit Congress had also strongly opposed the move.
