KOLLAM: Kerala Congress (B) chairman and former minister R Balakrishna Pillai is in critical condition. Pillai was admitted to a private hospital in Kottarakkara on Wednesday evening due to shortness of breath. He is on life support.

According to hospital officials, the condition of the lungs is critical as it has contracted. He was earlier treated at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.
