KOCHI: UDF candidate and former minister K Babu has pulled off a victory in Thripunithura after a tight contest. K Babu won the constituency from M Swaraj, the sitting CPM MLA, by a majority of just 700 votes. The result in Thripunithura was a slight disappointment for the LDF camp, which won a resounding 99 seats.
