KOCHI: There is an increase in price of gold in the state today. The price of the yellow metal per gram is Rs 4450 after a rise of Rs 50. There was an increase of Rs 400 per sovereign. The price of a sovereign is Rs 35,600. The price yesterday was 35,200.

Globally, spot gold traded higher at $ 1817.90. This is the highest price since February 16. Gold prices rose marginally as demand for gold fell due to lower US Treasury revenues and dollar price weakened.
