In a press release, KUWJ said that PR Praveena, a journalist with a Malayalam news channel, was being subjected to a highly reprehensible cyber cyber attack and that the media should unite to defeat such tendencies that insult femininity.

From KUWJ newsletter:

'What is going on against our colleague PR Praveen is a highly reprehensible cyber bullying. All media personnel in Kerala must unite to oppose this attack that crossed all limits. The campaign has turned against working and living and insulting femininity. The Kerala Union of Working Journalists is committed to stand by PR Praveen and defeat such evils.

In this situation, the Union's Thiruvananthapuram District Committee will lodge a complaint with the Chief Minister and the DGP asking them to bring the perpetrators of such cyber attacks to justice.
