THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 43,529 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. Among these, 40,133 persons developed the disease through contact, including 3010 cases without an identified source of infection. 241 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 145 health workers contracted the disease on Wednesday.

34,600 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 4,32,789 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 95 deaths due to the virus on Wednesday with the toll rising to 6053.
