THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 34,964 COVID-19 cases on Friday. Among these, 32,248 persons developed the disease through contact, including 2076 cases without an identified source of infection. 258 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 112 health workers contracted the disease on Friday.

31,319 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 4,42,194 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 93 deaths due to the virus on Friday with the toll rising to 6243.
