KOCHI: The Kerala High Court will consider today the plea against the swearing- in ceremony of the second Pinarayi government. The plea accused the government of flouting Covid-19 norms by organising the swearing-in ceremony attended by more than 500 people at a time when the triple lockdown exists.

The petitioner demanded to ensure that the swearing-in is taken in compliance with the lockdown instructions and to instruct the chief secretary and the disaster management authority on it. Dr K J Prince, general secretary of an organisation named Chikithsa Neethi filed the plea.

Anil Thomas, a lawyer, democratic party state chief George Sebastian and BJP Ernakulam district president S Jayakrishnan's plea will be heard by the court today. The second Pinarayi cabinet will be sworn in tomorrow. The function will be held at the Thiruvananthapuram Central Stadium
