THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said in a press conference that the triple lockdown imposed in the state against the backdrop of a surge in Covid cases is successful. The triple lockdown was announced in five districts including Thiruvananthapuram. In these places, the test positivity rate and the number of patients have decreased. This is a sign that the restrictions are beginning to work. However, the CM said it was not time to relax the restrictions.
The state confirmed 32,762 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday.
