THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After giving importance to newcomers in the cabinet, reports are coming out that youth will be given importance in the personal staff as well in the second Pinarayi government. As per indications, former MP KK Ragesh will be the private secretary of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. KK Ragesh is currently the CPM state committee member and the national leader of Karshaka Sangham.

As a Rajya Sabha MP, Ragesh has done exemplary work in Delhi. He was a leading figure in many agitations, including the farmers' struggle. Even the CPM central leadership demanded that Ragesh be given another chance in the Rajya Sabha, but it did not materialize. There are reports that Pinarayi had such an intention behind it.

Meanwhile, there are indications that Puthalath Dineshan will continue as political secretary.
