NEW DELHI: Former Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar has been arrested in connection with the murder of former junior national wrestling champion Sagar Rana. The wrestler was arrested from Punjab. The day before, a picture of Sushil Kumar driving a car was released from a toll plaza in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. This was followed by the arrest.

Sagar Rana, 23, was allegedly beaten to death in the parking area of ​​the stadium on May 4. According to police, Sushil Kumar and his gang had abducted Sagar from his home in Model Town for misbehaving in front of other wrestlers.

A Delhi court had issued non-bailable warrants against Sushil Kumar and nine others and rejected his anticipatory bail application.
