THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Public Works Minister PA Muhammad Riyas informed that a mobile app system will be introduced for the public to lodge complaints about roads. Any complaints about PWD roads can be reported through this app. The app will be available on Google Play Store and Apple Store from June 7, the minister said.
Complaints received through the app will be reported to the concerned road engineers via SMS and e-mail. After resolving the complaint, the information will be updated in the app. Complainants will know the details through the app itself. The app is being developed as part of the Road Maintenance Management System (RMMS) project. This will enable the authorities to identify the roads that need to be repaired and to complete the work within the allotted plan outlay.
