KOCHI: The Kerala High Court has stopped the transfer of assistant public prosecutors in Lakshadweep. The court stayed the action of removing prosecutors from court duties and assigning them to government jobs. The court said the action of the administration stalled the work of the court and demanded an explanation from the Lakshadweep administration.

The high court said they are aware of what is happening in Lakshadweep. The court's decision is a major setback for administrator Praful Patel. Meantime, the administrator's controversial proceedings are continuing in Lakshadweep.

The steps for acquiring land for Amul outlet have already started after the government closed down the dairy farms. Three people have been taken into custody for allegedly sending message to the administrator's mobile. The Lakshadweep BJP also came forward justifying the protests.

BJP Lakshadweep General Secretary H K Mohammad Qasim told in Kozhikode that some of the amendments made by the administrator had caused inconvenience to the people and the matter has been brought to the notice of the Prime Minister. He said the BJP respects the sentiments of the people and will correct the new reforms if required.
