ALAPPUZHA: The investigating team is questioning BJP Alappuzha district treasurer K G Kartha in connection with the Kodaka hawala money case. He is being questioned at the Alappuzha police training centre. The questioning is based on the statements and phone records of the accused arrested. He is mainly questioned to find the source of the money.

BJP organization general secretary M Ganesh and state committee office secretary Girish will be summoned in the coming days to collect details. In the meanwhile, the probe team will also question Basheer, Salam and Rasheed included in the robbery gang.

The three remanded has not been questioned as they were Covid positive. As Basheer turned negative, he will be questioned with the permission of Irinjalakuda court. Of the 3.5 crore lost, only one crore has been recovered. Further questioning is to find out the remaining amount and clarify the source of the money.
