SHARJAH: In a tragic incident, a Malayali drowned at the Al Quwain sea in UAE on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Pantheeramkavu native Rafza Mahroof. She was 35 years old. Though her husband and children were present at the beach, they were not able to save her. The incident took place on Friday morning.

The accident was caused by strong undercurrents. Rafza and her family live in Ajman. Rafza's husband Mahroof is an employee of the technical department at Etisalat in Sharjah.
