THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 23,513 COVID-19 cases on Saturday. Among these, 22,016 persons developed the disease through contact, including 1272 cases without an identified source of infection. 139 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 86 health workers contracted the disease on Saturday.

28,100 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 2,33,034 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 198 deaths due to the virus on Saturday with the toll rising to 8455.
